Rivercrest Park

Follow my blog with Bloglovin One of my favorite things (I have a lot of favorite things...) about living way up north in Cali is our great weather. While most of the country hates February for it's bitter cold, my children played outside in shorts.  On these almost Spring days, I like to take the kids to explore the Redding area parks. We still do this, but I must admit we did it a lot more when my kids were smaller.

We really like Rivercrest Park. This park is great because it has so many things to offer. For small children it has a play structure made for little ones. Slides that are just their size and small steps so they can get up and down on their own.  And for the big kids it has a large basketball court, huge grassy area and a large play structure. All ages love the swings.  Moms love that there is a huge covered area with lots of tables and shade.

Cute bugs for little ones!

The Stats: Rivercrest Park
Park hours: From Dawn to Dusk
Directions: At the back of Rivercrest neighborhood off Bechelli. See Google Map below.
Amenities: Basketball court, Big grassy field, Big play structure, Small playstructure, Swings, Huge pavillion with lots of tables
What I love: It's at the back of a nice neighborhood, so very little vehicle traffic and very little foot traffic from weirdos.
What I don't love: NO BATHROOMS. (Although, that helps keep the weirdos away...)

I am really enjoying these pics of my children when they were a bit smaller.  We have been back to the park since this many times, but things haven't changed much. It's still the same great park.

Take a look at these two cuties! Can you believe they are the same kid? Why do they have to grow?

I love it when I come across great resources for our area. Check out this post on Rivercrest Park by pcpark.org  They have some great pictures.

Do you love Rivercrest Park too? Where are some of your other favorite parks in Redding?
